I would highly recommend anyone to browse through this website as there is some really good information about CAD and software. I wish that I had seen this website before purchasing LT. These prices are affordable for software that does basically the same thing as ACAD, so I will be switching over to Carlson soon for basically the same price that I purchased ACAD LT. I had wanted to purchase Civil 3D, but the price tag was way above what I could afford being that I am a new civil engineering company just getting started. I also found the on-line store where software is sold. In less than a minute, I had the drawing orientation fixed as well as the pointer crosshairs. I could not remember the commands to fix all of that so I “Googled” it and came across That CAD Girl’s PDF file that helped me remember what to do. I had received an AutoCAD file where the rotation of the drawing was not in “World” (also not in any UCS configuration) and the orientation of the pointer crosshairs were not what you would normally see.
